Account Questions

How do I log in?

Signing into Sonicbids is easy. Click the Sign In button on the homepage. If you’re an existing Sonicbids member, you can use your existing Username and Password. After, you can connect your Facebook account and Sign In that way, too.

How do I log out?

To sign out, click the name in the top righthand corner of the site and select Log Out from the drop down menu. 

How can I connect my Instagram account?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Band Profile and then Profile Settings.
  • Under Social Media Information you can sync your band’s Instagram account

How can I sync Spotify and Rdio?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Band Profile and then Profile Settings.
  • Under Social Media Information you can sync your band’s Spotify or Rdio accounts

How can I delete my account?

  • Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner.  
  • Click My Bands.
  • Click Deactivate Profile next to the band you would like to delete.

How do I add/edit band members/instrumentation?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Under Band Profile, select Manage Band Members.
  • Select Create Band Member and fill out that member’s role in the band. 

How can I change my account information?

Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner and update your information.

Can I sync my social media?

You sure can.

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Band Profile and then Profile Settings.
  • Under Social Media Information you can sync your Twitter & Instagram accounts to show up in your profile. You can also sync your Spotify or Rdio accounts and add band-specific hashtags that will also show up in your profile!

How do I add songs?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Manage Files and then Manage Songs.
  • Click the orange Add Songs button to add a new song.
  • Once the song is added, you can edit the song’s title if the ID3 Tag needs to be updated.

How do I add photos?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Manage Files and then Manage Photos.
  • Click the orange Add Photos button to add a new photo.

How do I add videos?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Manage Videos and then Manage Videos.
  • Click the orange Add Videos button to add a new photo.

What are the media file size and resolution limits?

  • Songs: Music should be at least 128 kbits/sec bit rate. We recommend 320 kbits/sec for the best quality.  There is no size limit on songs. File types accepted: .mp3 .aac .aiff
  • Images: Photos should be at least 1050px wide to work best in all areas of your profile. There is no file size limit on images. We recommend .jpg or .png files.
  • Videos: Minimum resolution is 640 x 360. Video files max out at 750 MB

How can I change the title of my songs?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click Manage Songs.
  • Click the Edit Title button next to the song title you’d like to change.

How do I add/edit lyrics?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Under Band Profile, select Profile Settings.
  • Click Add Lyrics in the Lyrics section.

How do I add Rider/Stage Plot

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Under Band Profile, select Profile Settings.
  • Click Add Rider in the Rider section. You can also add your Stage Plot in the same area.

How do I add gigs to my calendar?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Calendar and click Add Date and fill out all of the information.

You can also create an Event to promote your show on this page. Add the other bands on the bill, set times, ticket links and more.

How can I change my main profile photo?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click Band Profile from the menu then Profile Settings.
  • Select Change/Upload Image.

How can I change the order of my songs?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click Manage Songs and then drag them with the “arrow cross” on right side of each row to reorder them you please.

How can I change my Elevator Pitch and Bio?

The elevator pitch has now been renamed the Short Description.

You can edit both your Short Description and your Bio by:

  • Selecting your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Band Profile and then Profile Settings.
  • Here you can edit your Bio, Short Description, Band Links, Press and much more.

What happened to my embedded calendar?

We are rebuilding the embeddable calendar. With any product launch, you have to make decisions on what makes it, and what has to be cut.  We decided that we want to build a really great embeddable calendar for our musicians, and that takes a little time. If you need a replacement immediately, check out ArtistData.com which is free to use.  That embeddable calendar is better than the old Sonicbids one.

Membership Questions        

How do I purchase a Sonicbids membership?

It’s easy to start a membership Sonicbids.

New Members:

  • On www.sonicbids.com click the Join button in the top righthand corner of the screen.
  • You’ll be taken to the membership page.
  • You can select either an Annual or Monthly membership and fill out your credit card information.
  • Once that’s completed you’ll be taken to a new page to create your profile.

Existing members:

  • When you log into your account, select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click My Bands and then click Activate Membership next to the band you’d like to purchase a membership for.

What membership plans do you offer?

It’s 100% free to have a profile on Sonicbids, but if you want to submit to listings you’ll need an Active Membership. These can be managed on the Membership tab under User Settings.

We offer both Annual & Monthly billing options at either $119.88/year or $12.99/month.

How do I cancel my membership?

Sonicbids members can cancel their account at any time and it will have no bearing on any active submissions.

  • Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner. 
  • Select Memberships and click the Manage button next to the membership you’d like to edit.
  • Select the Cancel Memberships option and then confirm your cancellation request

How can I tell when my membership will renew?

  • Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Memberships and click the Manage button.
  • All of the information about your membership will be presented to you. 

How do I add/edit/delete my credit card information?

  • Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click Credit Cards.
  • Click either Update or Add a card to make any changes.

How can I access my receipts?

You’ll receive an email containing the receipts of all your purchases immediately after that purchase takes place. Should you need another copy of your receipt, please contact our support team at needhelp@sonicbids.com. 

How can I see my site credit balance?

Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner

Select Credit Cards. Your site balance will be displayed here.

Why do you need my date of birth?

Some contests have minimum age requirements. Collecting this information now ensures that your band would be eligible for these contests.

Gig Questions

How do I submit to a gig?

Click Find Gigs on www.sonicbids.com, when you find the gig you want simply click in the Apply button and fill out all the info.

How can I keep track of my submissions?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Overview under My Gigs.
  • Here you can see the History of gigs you submitted to as well as the Status and Review By date.

How do I submit to a gig as an agency?

  • Select the band you’d like to submit from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click the Find Gigs button and apply for the Gig of your choosing.

How do I search gigs?

There are multiple ways to search for and sort gigs once clicking the Find Gigs button

  • With the drop down menu you can sort gigs by Closing Soon, Cost, Title and Event Date
  • Clicking All Gigs will let you filter between gig types like Live, A&R/Licensing & Contests
  • Clicking Narrow By will allow you filter between Free Gigs, Paid Gigs, Featured Gigs, Compensated Gigs and gigs near you
  • The All Genres button will allow you to filter by genre
  • Click the Magnifying Glass icon to search for a specific gig.
  • Click the Gear icon to get an advanced search

How can I complete an incomplete submission?

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Gig Drafts under My Gigs.
  • Any incomplete submissions will be shown here and you can complete them from this page.

Promoters

How do I post a gig?

New to Sonicbids? If so, click the Post A Gig button on the home page. Once there, you’ll have 2 options:

Self-Serve Gig Listing:

  • Fill out all of the required information and click Post The Gig.
  • You will be prompted to connect to Sonicbids using your Facebook account.
  • You will be able to log into Sonicbids and check the status of your listing with your Facebook account.

Premium Gig Listing:

  • On the Post A Gig page click the Submit A Premium Gig Inquiry Now link.
  • Fill out all of the information about your gig.
  • You will be prompted to connect to Sonicbids using your Facebook account.
  • A Sonicbids Promoter Network Team Member will be in touch with you about your Premium Gig Listing.

If You’re An Existing Promoter:

Select your Promoter account from the dropdown menu on the top left.

Click My Gigs and then select Post A Gig.

Is It Free To Post A Gig?

Yes! You can always post a gig listing for free with Sonicbids. If you don't charge a fee for your gig or have special requirements, you can post a gig in just a few minutes.

If you have special requirements, submit a premium gig inquiry.

How many bands can I select for my gig?

For self service gigs, you can pick up to 5 bands for your gig.

If you're a festival or need more bands, submit a premium gig inquiry to get exactly what you need.

What criteria does the band submit when applying to my gig?

You get to pick! You can choose from song, video and even photo uploads.

Just pick which one you want in the Application Requirements section. 

How do I view my submissions?

  • Select your Promoter account from the dropdown menu on the top left. Click My Gigs and then Published.
  • Click on the name of the gig or the Gear icon next to the gig.
  • Clicking on each band will allow you to review their EPK. You can also rate artists.

Agencies

How can bands get added to an agency roster?

Existing bands must add the Agent to their band lineup:

  • Select your band from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Under Band Profile, select Manage Band Members.
  • Click Create Band Member and add your Agent.

Existing Agents can create bands:

  • Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click My Bands and then Create New Band. You can add yourself in the Agent role.

How do I remove an artist from my roster?

  • Select your email address under User Settings from the drop down menu in the top left corner.
  • Click My Bands and then Remove Me.
